Chapter Five is a transitional chapter in the book.  It emphasizes the importance of teaching children to take the time to praise, thank and listen to God each and every day.

Chapter Six advises mothers to stay close to God in order to stave off the lies of Satan.  It examines the importance of teaching children that Satan truly exists.  It tells the story of how St. Michael stepped up to cast the haughty Satan out of Heaven.  It recommends teaching our children to model St. Michael's obedience to God.  It further teaches that both prayer and fasting are powerful weapons against Satan and that we should treasure God above all else.
